Caring for your baked goods

We bake everything fresh so you can enjoy it at its best. To keep your treats tasting just as good as the day you brought them home, we’ve put together a few simple storage tips for each item below.

Sourdough

Our sourdough loaves are baked fresh with a crisp crust and tender crumb, and with the right care you can enjoy it for days.

Room Temperature Storage
Keep your loaf in a paper bag or bread box at room temperature to maintain a crisp crust and soft interior. You can also wrap it if you prefer a softer bite. This option is good for 3-4 days. Cut, pop in the toaster and enjoy!

Refrigeration
Store in the fridge to enjoy all week long. Bread may dry out, but you can run the loaf briefly under water and pop it in the toaster or oven to bring it back to life.

Freezing
For longer storage, slice your loaf, place it in a freezer-safe bag, and freeze. Toast or warm slices straight from the freezer for fresh-baked flavor anytime.

Cookies

Our bakery-style cookies are baked fresh and taste best when stored with a little extra care.

Room Temperature Storage
Keep cookies in an airtight container (like Tupperware or a glass container) at room temperature for up to 3–4 days. This keeps them soft and chewy.

Freezing
For longer storage, place cookies in a freezer-safe bag or container. When ready to enjoy, let them thaw at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Reheating
To get that bakery-fresh texture, warm cookies in a 300°F oven for 3–5 minutes. If you’re using a microwave, heat for about 8–10 seconds.

Royal icing sugar cookies

Our royal icing sugar cookies are made to be both beautiful and delicious, and with the right care you can enjoy them long after they’re baked.

Room Temperature Storage
Since each cookie is individually bagged, simply keep them at room temperature away from direct heat or cold. They’ll stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. Texture may soften slightly after 3–4 days, but they’ll still be just as tasty.

Freezing
For longer storage, place cookies in a freezer-safe container or bag. Cookies will stay fresh for up to 3 months. When ready to enjoy, let them thaw inside the container at room temperature—keep them sealed until fully thawed to prevent condensation on the icing.

Scones

Scones taste their very best the day they’re baked. A quick re-warm in the oven makes them taste like they just came out of the bakery! Avoid the fridge. Refrigeration can dry them out and make them tough.

Room Temperature Storage
Keep at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 1–2 days. This helps the outside stay crisp while the inside stays soft.

Freezing
For longer keeping: Wrap tightly and freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, warm in a 325°F (160°C) oven for 8–10 minutes (or until heated through).
